Meet the Chef
​Born and raised on the family's farm land in the rural town of Orangeburg, SC, Chef Tanika Janvier is truly a country girl at heart. She learned from a very young age to appreciate the fruits and produce of the land and the farmers who grew it. What intrigued her more was the artistry of bringing the food from farm to table. In April 2018 Chef Tanika decided to pursue her passion of food and becoming a chef by creating Savo's Family Kitchen. What started as pop-up dinner plate sales has become a growing catering service and also offers several varieties of moist, delicious pound cakes. In 2021 Chef Tanika decided to further her education at the Culinary Institute of Charleston. She looks forward to graduating in 2024 with her Associates degrees in Culinary Arts and Business Administration.
